Community Guidelines
Qocial works because questions and answers on it are genuine. These guidelines say what that means in practice — for everyone, and especially for verified experts and anyone funding or claiming a bounty.
1. Be a real person
- One account per person. No account farms, no bot networks, no reselling handles.
- Your handle, name, and photo must be your own — don't impersonate another person, brand, or Qocial staff.
- Don't buy, sell, or artificially inflate follows, likes, or engagement.
2. What belongs here
Genuine questions and genuine attempts to answer them — across any topic: astrology, finance, law, fitness, tech, or anything else someone might reasonably ask about. Say what you actually know, and be clear when you're speculating rather than certain. A good answer sourced honestly beats a confident one that isn't.
3. Not allowed, ever
- Illegal content of any kind, including child sexual abuse material — this is reported to the relevant authorities without exception, no appeal.
- Harassment, threats, and hate — targeting someone based on who they are, or campaigns intended to intimidate or silence them.
- Doxxing — sharing someone's private information (address, phone number, ID documents, exact location) without their consent.
- Sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate content in any form.
- Graphic violence posted to shock or glorify, rather than to inform.
- Spam, scams, and phishing — including fake giveaways, fake expert credentials, and links designed to steal credentials or money.
- Coordinated manipulation — vote/engagement rings, fake accounts used to influence a report queue, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
- Infringing content — posting someone else's copyrighted or trademarked work as your own.
- Self-harm content posted to encourage or instruct, rather than to seek support.
4. Astrology, finance, legal and health content
Answers in these areas can genuinely change what someone does next, so we hold them to a higher bar than an opinion post:
- Don't present legal, medical, or financial guidance as a substitute for a licensed professional — flag clearly when someone should see one instead of, or alongside, your answer.
- Astrology and compatibility answers — whether from a verified expert or Qocial's own engine — are framed as informational and interpretive, not as a guaranteed prediction of real-world outcomes.
- Don't state speculative financial advice ("this will 10x") as guaranteed fact. Share your reasoning, not a promise.
5. Bounties, awards and payments
- Fund a bounty because you want a real answer to a real question — not to launder money, and not to bait an expert into a low-effort payout.
- Don't ask another user to pay or be paid outside Qocial's payment flow for something that should be a bounty, paid answer, or award.
- Don't create fake questions, sockpuppet accounts, or collusive answers to manipulate escrow, awards, or expert payouts. This is treated as fraud, not a guidelines warning.
6. Extra responsibility for verified experts
Verification is a privilege, not a permanent status. A verified badge means:
- You answer in good faith, within the specialty you were verified for — not outside it;
- You never guarantee a specific outcome in exchange for payment;
- You disclose when a bounty or paid answer is beyond what you can responsibly answer, rather than answering anyway for the payout;
- Your badge can be revoked for a Guidelines violation, misrepresented credentials, or a pattern of low-effort paid answers.
7. Reporting and enforcement
Every post and profile has a Report control. Reports go to a moderation queue and are reviewed by our team — more serious categories (money, identity, safety) are routed to a more senior review tier than a garden-variety content dispute. Depending on severity, we may:
- Leave a warning on the account;
- Remove or limit the reach of the specific content;
- Revoke expert verification;
- Suspend the account temporarily;
- Permanently ban the account, for severe or repeated violations.
Content that took a real payment (a claimed bounty, an unlocked paid answer) stays recorded for accounting purposes even after removal or a ban — the record is kept, the visible content is gone.
8. Appeals
If you believe a decision on your account or content was wrong, contact [email protected] with your handle and the content in question. We review appeals; a decision on an appeal is final.
9. Changes to these guidelines
We update these guidelines as Qocial grows and new situations come up. Check back here periodically — using Qocial after a change means you accept the current version, the same as our Terms of Service.
