Home services marketplace Urban Company on Friday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 92.12 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 6.94 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing.
Revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 528.34 crore, marking a growth of 43.85 per cent from Rs 367.27 crore in the April-June period of the preceding financial year.
On a sequential basis, the net loss narrowed from Rs 161.16 crore in the preceding March quarter, while revenue rose 24 per cent from Rs 425.56 crore.
The company's total expenses rose to Rs 639.88 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared to Rs 384.25 crore in the year-ago period, driven largely by higher employee benefit expenses, purchases of stock-in-trade, and other costs.

NSE pays ₹714 crore to settle ₹1,491 crore co-location case ahead of IPO
National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on Friday said it has paid Rs 714.74 crore to Sebi after receiving the regulator's in-principle approval to settle the long-pending colocation and dark fibre cases for Rs 1,491.21 crore.
The latest payment, together with the Rs 776.47 crore already deposited by the NSE, completes the Rs 1,491.21-crore settlement amount agreed under the revised settlement terms.
The payment comes a day after the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) gave its in-principle approval to the revised settlement proposal submitted by the exchange.
In a statement, NSE said, "The deposit of Rs 776.47 crore along with the payment of Rs 714.74 crore made against the demand notice dated July 30, 2026, will be adjusted against the settlement amount of Rs 1,491.21 crore."
On Thursday, NSE had informed that Sebi had, in principle, agreed to settle the colocation and dark fibre matters for a cumulative amount of Rs 1,491.21 crore and had asked the exchange to pay the .

Govt extends IFSC Authority Chairman K Rajaraman's tenure till Oct 2028
: The government has extended the tenure of the Chairman of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), K Rajaraman, for 27 months.
The Central Government hereby re-appoints K Rajaraman to the post of Chairperson, IFSCA, for a period beyond July 31, 2026 till attaining the age of 65 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the finance ministry said in a gazette notification dated July 30.
Rajaraman will be attaining 65 years on October 24, 2028. He was appointed in 2023 for an initial period of three years.
Prior to appointment as the Chairman, Rajaraman was Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India.

Maruti Suzuki Q1 results: Net profit falls 9.11% to ₹3,446.9 crore
The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Friday reported a 9.11 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 3,446.9 crore in the first quarter ended June 2026, hit by higher expenses, specially material costs.
The auto major had posted a net profit of Rs 3,792.4 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing.
Total revenue from operations was up 35.9 per cent at Rs 52,469.8 crore in the first quarter as against Rs 38,605.2 crore in the same period of 2025-26 fiscal, it added.
Total expenses in the quarter under review were higher at Rs 50,000.3 crore as compared to Rs 35,585.4 crore in the year-ago period, the company said.

Over 5.5 crore income tax returns (ITRs) have been filed for AY 2026-27, with over 42 lakh filed on July 30 alone, the I-T department said on Friday.
The last date to file ITR 1 and ITR 2 for AY 2026-27 is July 31, 2026.
ITR Form 1 (Sahaj) is a simpler forms that cater to a large number of small and medium taxpayers.
Sahaj can be filed by a resident individual having annual income up to Rs 50 lakh and who has salary income, one house property, and agricultural income up to Rs 5,000 a year.
ITR-2 is filed by individuals and HUFs not having income from profits and gains in business or profession, but having income from capital gains.
"Less than 24 hours to go! Over 5.5 crore ITRs have already been filed for AY 2026-27 (with over 42 lakh filed on July 30 alone!). File now, File calmly!," the I-T department said in a post on X.

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) needs to be "fair, impartial and uniform" in its drive concerning hotels and eateries, including those in government and semi-government establishments, the Bombay High Court noted on Friday, questioning the agency's "98 per cent clean" certificate to the Mantralaya canteen.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice Gautam Ankhad ordered a team of four lawyers to immediately visit and inspect the Mantralaya canteen and report to the court in the afternoon on the situation there.
Within hours of the directive, the FDA, accompanied by lawyers, inspected the canteen at the state secretariat to check for hygiene and food safety standards.
Earlier in the day, the FDA submitted to the court a chart detailing all eateries and canteens, including the three on the high court premises and at Mantralaya, as well as private clubs across the city.
